No matter what career path you’re on, you are in marketing and sales first. I know it may be hard for you to agree with that statement, but just go with me for a moment.
Before you landed your current job, you had to highlight the skills, experience, and education that would be of interest to the employer you were targeting. You created marketing materials (resume, cover letters, LinkedIn) with these skills, experiences, and education on them to attract interest (in essence, these are your features and benefits). If someone became interested in what you had to offer, they would reach out and schedule a meeting to learn more.
